In twentyfive I might just try to figure out the reasons why

A circle needs the maths of Pi and onions make our eyeholes cry

In twentyfive I might spend time a-working in and out of rhyme

Establishing the cardinals and working out the cost of prime

In twentyfive I might just try to understand the reasons why

That elephants refuse to fly and coconuts are often shy

In twenty five if time allows I might just go in search of hows

And wheres and whats and maybe whys of pointless seas and endless skies

To swim within an oceans flow uncertain of the way to go

Or fly on currents endless breeze a-pondering the life of trees

In twentyfive if time aligns in search of symbols and of signs

I might go look neath hidden forms, create ideas and newfound norms

In twentyfive with no-one looking I might just disappear

Into the realms of maybe and the chance of something queer

In twentyfive the path might bend and head towards a different end

It might turn left instead of right and end up on a starry night

It might turn right instead of left and twist the warp inside the weft

It might come loose begin to fray as we head towards another day

In twentyfive the path might swerve and show me how to hold my nerve

And teach me how to navigate the random flow of modern fate

In twenty five whilst others sleep, whilst lovers dream and angels weep

I might just find the time to look and scan the pages of a book

In twenty five I hope to see thru eyes reborn in clarity

A kinder world where people thrive

And keep the hopes of love alive.
